What is the best minivan to buy?

We are looking to trade in our SUV for a minivan since we are adding to our family. We are looking for something used but want something that is going to last and great quality. I like the ones with the button that you push and the doors open for you. Any suggestions on make, model, and year?

The best minivan is the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country (classy, timeless look) or the 2008 Grand Caravan (more of a modern look). The new 2008 has a more SUV like body style and the storage options will blow you away! The middle of the line van (for instance, the Town & Country Signature Series Touring model) will come with leather, dual dvd screens and 2 dvd players, heated seats for the first AND second row, the MyGig entertainment system that is a 30gb harddrive and stores music, dual power sliding doors, power rear hatch and the optional Swivel ‘N Go seating or Stow ‘N Go seating. Also, brand new for 2008, the 2nd row windows now roll down!

They really are very SUV like and you will be blown away. These vans, when purchased brand new also have a great engine that at this time has the lifetime powertrain warranty, which covers your engine and transmission for as long as you keep your van…which could be FOREVER for some people.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend a 2007 model. The safety improved on the 2008s as well with side curtain airbags throughout that stay inflated for 5 seconds in case of a second impact and the braking system is fantastic.

If you can’t afford a van over $20k, then try to find one pre-owned. At least throw this van in the mix…you’ll be surprised!
