When buying a large Full HD 42″ LCD T.V.Would the standard 50 HZ be ok or more benificial to go for 100 HZ?

I know its twice as good,but is it worth paying the extra premium.

If you are going LCD, it is 60hz or 120hz realistically at the 42″ size go with the one that you think the picture looks best on. At that size, and at the proper viewing distance, the 120hz is negligible. If you go plasma they are almost all 60hz, they will say 480hz sub field drive… but that is still only a 60hz processor, they are measuring something else, not refresh/ processor speed. Find a tv you like, price picture ect. then buy it. Don’t worry about the specs if you like the tv. They mean nothing in reality! Good Luck.
