My minivan started to overheat so I changed the thermostat, Then the temp gage would rise but then fall back to norm range. Then it started to make a loud noise and the alarm would go off and the door locks would click. What are some possible reasons?

Might be the radiator cap (they come in different pressures, make sure you have the right one) if not the radiator itself will probably have to be cleaned out.
