’98 Legacy Outback LTD EJ25 auto transmission fluid exchange?

Grandmother has since lost the owner’s manual with all the charts and such for the recommended fluid exchanges. The only one in particular I’m looking for is the recommended mileage to change the automatic transmission fluid and with what brand of fluid, whether or not the transmission fluid filter needs to be changed or not as well.

I never changed the filter on my old car as Subaru told me it was a lifetime filter. 110,000 miles of really hard driving on a heavily modified car and never had any trouble. You can only drain about 40% of the fluid through the drain plug. Only way to get it all out is to flush with a machine or drop the oil pan. Basically I did a drain and fill at 35000, flush at 70,000 and another drain and fill at 100,000 miles. If you just call your local dealer service department, they will give you what is recommended for your car. If you have over 100,000 miles, I would avoid any flushing and just do a drain and fill every 35,000 miles.
