Is it me but do some parents take this rule a little too much to heart? The other day outside the Publix while a mother was loading her groceries into her breeder mobile…cough….minivan…. the lady’s kid asked a cop sitting in his car next to her van how old his K-9 in the backseat was. Well…..I thought for a second that lady saw the devil, man did she go off on that kid for speaking to a stranger in this case a cop. I don’t know about you guys but seriously a cop!!!! I don’t see the harm in talking to a cop as a small child. In the long run I think people who teach their kids not to talk to strangers are setting up their kids to spend their adult lives being afraid of people and becoming anti-social. Stop teaching your children to view everybody as wrong/right, black/white and teach your kids some god damn judgement and critical thinking skills. Very few strangers are out to get your kids. The news media unfortunately brain washes you to think other.
