Have you ever been on the receiving end of the finger in a fit of road rage?

If so, how did you react? Did you give the finger back (not recommended)? Did you know why the other driver was mad enough to flip you off?

We live in the country and drive mostly two-lane roads with little shoulders. Since the roads here are curvy and hilly it’s not recommended that anyone drive over the posted speed limit.

About two months ago I had a full-sized pickup on my aasss I was driving the speed limit, 45 but he seemed irritated by that.

He finally passed me on a straight-away and gave me the bird. On his red full-sized pick-up were bumper stickers that read “US ARMY RETIRED” and “McCAIN/PALIN.” My vehicle has a few bumper stickers too: “Veterans for Obama” and “Annoy a conservative: think, care, balance the budget.”

The driver was a large white man wearing a cowboy hat. I sped up after him to get his license plate.

So I don’t know why this fat guy flipped me off. Was it because I wasn’t driving fast enough for him, or was it for my poltical bumper stickers? If it was for my bumper stickers, that fat guy is going to be miserable for the next four years!

Am I being stalked?
