Peter Nadas follows up his masterful BOOK OF MEMORIES with another hefty work set across several decades, PARALLEL STORIES, translated from Hungarian by Imre Goldstein. The book follows several characters–a student who, in the opening scene discovers a corpse in a park in Berlin in 1989; a spy, of sorts; a singer named Gy ngyv r M zes–and it also finds a center around a particular apartment building in Budapest. Contending with history–specifically the atrocities and fallout of World War II in Hungary– however, is this dense novel`s primary concern. For it is the 20th century that propels this novel forward: As the characters appear and disappear, as the timeline skips and jumps back and forth, history moves forward, step by unstoppable step.

I am having major driving issues!!!!!!?
I am taking my drivers test this week and i am having issues on a couple of key points.
1) I have problems staying in the lane… but i am getting better at it.
2) I cannot back into a space to save my life.
3) i am having problems parallel parking. i have done it right a couple of times but it is not consistent
4) my regular parking is not the best either but i can manage.
pretty much i just suck at parking.
so does anyone have any advise on one or more of these points.
one more thing i am practicing in a huge minivan and i am going to take the test in a little honda, do you think any or all of this will be easier once i do it in the smaller car? the down side is that i so not have access to the honda in till the day of the test so i can’t go and practice in it.
i know that it is not a big deal to fail but i have to pass and i have to pass the first time failier is not an option. unfortunately.
Parking should definitely be easier with a smaller car. Driving is all about practice. Do it over and over again till you get it right, and then do it a couple more times. I’m not sure how well you’re gonna do, though, since you’ve never driven the honda before.
