Service Traction System?
I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan. (Its very similar to a Chevy Venture or Pontiac Montana) The message center in the dashboard sometimes lights up and says “Service Traction System” and then a different light comes on that says “Traction off.”
Sometimes this happens when you first start it, other times it happens while your driving down the road, and sometimes it never comes on.
Any idea what could cause this and how I could go about fixing it?
Yes a reptuable shop will have to check this one out, they will hook it up to a scan tool and that will point them in the direction of the problem. Is your ABS light on too? Those systems usually rely on eachother. This kind of problem is usually over most people’s heads.
