minivan buy used
I bought a used minivan from a dealer and found after several months that it’s missing certain components?
This is a toyota sienna and it comes with TPMS (Tire pressure monitoring sensors). The tpms is in the vehicle, but I found recently (flat tire) that all four wheels are missing the tpms sensors. In other words the vehicles was advertised with tpms, but no tpms sensors were in the wheels, they were at some point removed (by previous owner). So my question is do i have legal recourse?
If the words “as is” appear on the bill of sale, then you have no legal recourse unless the dealer put in writing that your specific van had those features.
Even then, you would have to prove that it did not have those features at the time of sale, which becomes increasingly difficult as time goes by and could be impossible after a few months.
