hybrid minivan Is it just me, or am I the smartest guy in the world? Why is there no gas/hybrid or diesel minivan?
The Mazda 5 is just begging to go hybrid in my opinion, and these gas guzzlers, (which are often used for singular purposes, not just soccer,) must be tamed. Don’t you think? Sure it would cost more but we’re really nailing the technology. I understand in Europe there is a diesel Chyrsler minivan, and it goes. Bring it here, we’ve got biodiesel now. Do minivans user’s really race stop light to stop light?
There’s new diesel technology in Europe that not only equals the horsepower output of gas engines, but with the greater torgue, leaves them in the dust. Yes, it’s really a question of overcoming the perception I think. It’s not outdated technology anymore. I agree that it would be more expensive, especially hybrid, but perhaps an option with a four cylinder/hybrid is more commonsenical(?.) The fuel savings help solve that, and the extra torque of the electric motor(s) would make city driving zippidydodaday.
Good question. I hope Detroit is listening. Thanks.
