Great First How do you make a great first impression with your future inlaws?
I’m going to Venezuela over the holidays and I will be meeting my fiance’s parents for the first time. I have so much butterflies in my stomach. I’m a Filipino girl raised in Canada but my Spanish is pretty good — well my Spanish is ok. I’ve been practicing for a few months. I’ve managed to read/speak/and understand Spanish in just over a few months. And now here comes the day — I’m finally meeting my future in-laws. Any suggestions in making a great first and lasting impression?
Be yourself; certainly not someone you’re not. If you “play” them, you stand a better chance in the future to give them the impression that you aren’t a genuine individual. I’m sure you’re a nice, polite person…just be that person and you’ll be fine!
Good luck to you!
