coolant lines on a 96 3.8 caravan?
I was just looking under my van and noticed there are 2 coolant lines running all the way to the back. I guess the second line is a return line. Why is coolant being piped all the way to the rear? The reason I am asking this is because I noticed some areas of the line are badly rusted and rather than spending money on new lines, could I just disconnect the line running to the rear and just add a U shaped hose at the front of the van? Here is a diagram of what I mean. Pretend you are looking under the van. showing the send and return line.

you can cut both line take a pair of pliers and mash each so that it is close completely and your van will be fine
