What are the best and worst minivans…?

We are looking to buy a 2000 -2005 minivan and would like to get some input as to what is a good van. Anyone have any comments on the KIA Sedona? Dodge Grand Caravan? Others…
The price range we are looking at is up to $6000. That’s not much, I know, but its all we can afford right now. I’ve seen some pretty decent ones in that range. I would just like to know what personal experiences people have had with different minivans.

There are lots of choices. But anything between an 2000-2005 varies greatly by price range. Do you have a specific price range in mind? I wouldn’t want to suggest something that blows your budget.

With a price range of $6k, your choices are rather limited to american and south korean models. There are some japanese models out there, but they would probably have high miles for that price range.

I would recommend the following:
Grand Caravan/Chrysler Town&Country/Voyager – All are essentially the same vehicle, and offer a lot of goodies for your buck.
Mazda MPV – A sporty minivan. The engine is actually from Ford.
Chevy Venture/Pontiac Montana – While I dont care for their plasticy interior, they have very solid engines.
