My g/f just bought a 2009 Mariner and her birthday is coming up… I was thinking about buying her an Ipod nano as part of her birthday gift, but I want to make sure I have all the peripherals to hook it up to her radio in her Mariner… Is there anything special that I will need, or is the output cord from the nano enough?

You will need an integration kit. Try your local car audio specialty store. Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, DICE, PAC, and Peripheral all make good units. I use the RF unit in my 05 honda, and it works like a champ, so try and go that way first.
