Car question about transmissions on a 318Ti BMW?

the breakdown-my car was @ the mechanics and a tow truck was dropping off a car and while backing up didnt see my 318Ti BMW and backed up right into it. Damaged the whole driver side. Pushed in the door and the back and busted both the driver side window and rear side window as well. 318 are small 2 door coupe so you can only imagine the thing pushed in. My question is some people said with the hitting impact that the tow truck did to the car the tow truck could of knocked the transmisson out of place. The tow trucks insurance is going to fix damages. So besides the physical damage on the outside could there also be damage done to the engine’s transmission or any other part as well? Anyone who knows about cars please help me out. Thanks

No your transmission will be fine, it doesn’t even know you were in an accident. You will however want to make sure they do a 4 wheel alignment since it pushed the car sideways.
