chrysler minivan speedometer why does my speedometer in my 2001 chrysler minivan not wok?
It could be a couple of different things, first check to see if the speedo needle is on the back side of the stop pin under the zero mark, I have seen that when the battery has been changed or low voltage that the needle will spin all the way around & stick under the stop pin, if this is what has happened then turn the key to the off position, hold down the rest button on the instrument cluster & then turn the key back on while holding down the reset until the cluster goes into recalibration mode, some vehicles you have to hold the rest down & cycle the key 4 times to get into the recalibration mode, after ir recalibrates it should work properly, if not it could be an output speed sensor in the trans but that would also make the trans stay in second gear or limp in mode.
