Hi, I am completely NEW to boating. I live in Miami, FL on a canal. I would like to get a boat that I can run in the canal or stick in the back of a minivan and take it to the everglades, intercoastal, or to the keys. I would want it to hold up to 4 adults, and go relatively fast and mostly used for just cruising, and snorkelling, scuba diving. What is a good brand and model for the boat and motor? and is this possible for around $2,000 Please be specific if you can about the brand and model numbers.. Avon and boston whaler are both good brands of inflatable boats . I am sure they have web sites you can check on prices and sizes Outboards Mercruiser , honda and johnson are good they get very expensive 10 h/p should be all you need It will limit your speed to about 20mph
any larger outboard and you are talking thousands for just the outboard .
